FILE - In this April 21, 2009, file photo, ousted Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich

It’s one thing to be shamed (or rather indicted) and banished from the national political scene, it’s entirely another thing to try to pull yourself out of the gutter by throwing rocks at the President of the United States.  I was half expecting to hear this kind of dribble;  but not before he started appearing on Donald Trump’s  The Apprentice.  I’ll give him 9/10 points for stupidity!

My daily internet reading cycle has me hitting numerous news and political sites from both sides of the aisle.  An article that I stumbled across today really struck me with its intelligent, rational and patriotic opposition to the presidency of Barack Obama.  This is by no means to say that I agree with the author’s arguments against the President (I do not), but it struck me that this type of editorial is really the way in which I hope that politics in this nation could be conducted more often. At the end of the day, embracing bi-partisanism and at the same time passionately debating differences would go a long way in reducing the apathy that most Americans have for politics after the presidential election cycle dies down.
