John gets so excited about working on these lego sets; Finally after almost 2 1/2 weeks of construction, 272 pieces are assembled and the AT-ST Walker from Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back is almost 30% completed. This set has a lot of VERY small pieces included. John is really getting very good at “reading” directions and knowing how to work with even the smallest of pieces. This is a standard “right before bed” activity for both of us!
Well, John-John & I got back into the exciting world of Star Wars Lego II on Sunday morning! We successfully navigated the final “Story Mode” chapter of Episode 5 (“Betrayal over Bespin”) while managing to rack up both gold bricks for completion with “True Jedi Status”. After this adventure, John wanted to go right into Episode 6, and do his favorite chapter “Jabba’s Palace”. He aboslutely loves building the radio which temporaily turns the Gamorean guards into air-guitar specialists.
Once again, we collected both of the available gold-bricks for completing the “Story Mode” flavor of this long and arduous chapter. We have now worked our way back to a total of 27/99 gold bricks.
Well, She was supposed to be sleeping!
I had just finished commenting to Jen that the “quiet” upstairs meant that Stephie had finally learned to fall-asleep during nap-time on her own. Unfortunately, when we want up to check on here this is what we saw. Stephie is obvioulsy expecting a lot of her friends over for a diaper changing party.
Well, my mother-in-law has requested that we build her a new PC and I could think of no one better for the job than my 4 year old!
Yes he did indeed mount all the screws for the motherboard and helped to install the DDRAM & Hard Drives. Hopefully, John-John was able to grasp the concept of grounding himself before touching sensitive computer circuitry!
After months and months of deriding this practice to various family & friends, I have finally entered the “blogosphere” …..
Have lots of ideas, but the real test will to see if I can avoid having this consume my free time …
Stay tuned!
